Nature of our services

Within the scope of our licence, we can assist you in the following ways:

Complaints

Naturally, we do our utmost to serve you as well as possible. However, if you are not satisfied, we ask that you let us know immediately. We will do our very best to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible.

Should you believe that we have not responded adequately to your complaint, you may contact the independent Financial Services Complaints Tribunal (KiFiD). If you would like more information about the KiFiD, you can get it from www.kifid.nl

Our office is affiliated with the KiFiD under number 300.016107.

No advice

Our office is entirely free of advisory ties. This means that we have no contractual obligation whatsoever to advise you to opt for financial products from specific banks or mortgage lenders.

No control

We are a fully independent company. No bank, insurer, or other provider of financial products has voting rights or a stake in our capital.

Selection of providers

Periodically, we select the financial products offered by banks and insurance companies. With this, we work with a number of preferred partners. We determine who these partners are ourselves. Therefore, we are completely free in our advice.

Reward

We will send you an invoice for advising on and/or concluding a financial product. We no longer receive commission from the financial institution where you purchase the product. Before we commence work for you, we will of course make clear agreements with you about the rate we will charge, so that you know exactly where you stand.

For damage insurance and savings accounts, it is still possible to work on a commission basis. For the time being, we will continue to maintain this for these products. We will of course inform you extensively about this when you take out such a product.

For credit products, it is compulsory to work on a commission basis. We will, of course, inform you extensively about this when you take out such a product.

Internal remuneration policy

The remuneration of our employees consists for the most part of a fixed salary. The fixed salaries at our company are in line with the market.

Depending on their role and performance appraisal, employees may receive variable remuneration amounting to a maximum of 20% of their fixed salary. At least 50% of the variable remuneration is based on qualitative objectives that serve the interests of customers.

We regularly assess and guide our employees in acting with integrity, diligence, and a customer focus. This assessment determines the level of fixed salary and the amount of variable remuneration. Currently, there are no employees in our service to whom variable remuneration applies.

Your personal data

To enable us to advise you properly on which financial products suit your situation, we will have a conversation with you. During this conversation, we will ask you various questions. These questions relate to your knowledge and experience with financial services, your financial situation, such as income, expenses and assets, your wishes and needs insofar as they are relevant to the financial advice, and your willingness to bear certain risks yourself, or your desire to cover them, for example, through insurance.

We handle your data with care

We handle the data we receive from you with care. We have implemented technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised third parties from accessing this data. All our employees have also signed a confidentiality agreement.

How do we use the data received from you?

We use the data we receive from you to create an analysis of your financial situation. This will then lead to our advice on what measures you can take to achieve the financial security you desire. This may relate to building up your pension, insuring certain risks or obtaining financing.

Both when drawing up this advice and when you ask us to implement parts of this advice, it may be necessary for us to contact insurers, lenders, expert agencies, valuers and others who are relevant to the realisation of the financial security to be achieved for you.

For insurers and lenders, this refers to the information they need to determine whether, and if so, under what conditions, they will issue you a quote for insurance or credit. For loss adjusters, it concerns data required to be able to assess the value of your property or other assets.

We will only pass on the personal data received from you to third parties when it is necessary to carry out a specific part of your assignment. We will only pass on the data that these third parties genuinely need to carry out the work requested by us for you.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not store data for longer than is necessary to carry out the assigned work for you. No later than five years after the insurances and/or loans that we have arranged for you have ended, we will destroy the personal data that we have received from you in this context.

What are your rights?

You are our customer. Therefore, you have the right to decide which data we should or should not receive from you. However, you also have other rights. We summarise these below.

You can always ask us for an overview of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide you with this overview free of charge.

If you believe that we have processed certain data about you incorrectly in our records, you can request a correction. We greatly appreciate this, as we can only do our job properly when the data we work with for you is correct.

If you no longer wish for us to have certain data registered in our records, you may request that we delete this data. We will of course comply with your request in that case.

We have indicated above how we use the data received from you. If at any time you wish to restrict this use, for example, that we may not pass on certain data to a specific organisation, you can let us know. We will, of course, comply with this request as well.

If you wish, you can ask us to forward your details to a third party. For example, your accountant, solicitor or bank. Upon receipt of your request, we will fulfil it as soon as possible.

When we receive personal information about you from third parties, for example from your insurer, accountant, bank or other financial advisors, we will inform you of the source from which we received this information.

What is the situation when you do not give us certain information, or restrict us in its use?

Drawing up sound financial advice can be compared to completing a jigsaw puzzle. At the start of our work, there are many individual pieces that are all jumbled up. Once we have all the pieces at our disposal, we almost always succeed in solving the puzzle and presenting you with a complete picture.

However, if you do not wish to provide us with certain information or impose limitations on our use of it, then we will be missing one or more “pieces” of the puzzle. Sometimes this is not insurmountable in order to still be able to sketch a certain final picture for you. We will then point out to you that this advice may contain certain gaps as we were unable to access all the information and what the consequences of this could be for you.

If we are missing too much information, we will not be able to prepare responsible advice and will inform you that we cannot carry out our work for you.

Complaints regarding the way we handle your personal data

As indicated above, we endeavour to handle your personal data with the utmost care. Should you have any questions regarding how your personal data is handled within our firm, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will then do our best to answer these questions as thoroughly as possible.

Should you have any complaints regarding how our office has handled your personal data, we kindly request that you contact the management of our office. We promise that your complaint will receive our attention.

Should you still be of the opinion that we have not handled your personal data carefully enough, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority: www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl

Of course, there's much more to tell

We hope that you have gained an insight into what we can do for you. Naturally, we can do much more than you have been able to read about in this brochure. Please, feel free to ask us your questions. Would you like to know more about what we can do for you or how we work? We would be happy to tell you in a personal meeting.
